hi, so I am 20 yrs old with low T. been working out and dieting with no results for 9months. went to as low as 1500 cals + 30 min cardio/day+ weights and no weight loss. I have all the symptoms: depression, crap sleep, gyno, tired, sore from the gym from doing nothing, bones hurt alot, etc... I have an appointment with endocrinologist on Jan 3 so hopefully something useful will happen. I recently found out that it could possibly be a pituitary tumor that causes low T, still didnt test for that. I did blood test for everything except gh, prolactin, dht.
So what is your opinions and experience on this issue. also if some of you know some good doctors, in the GTA area, let me know
also, I tried t4 synthroid and arimidex and no results

How long have you been training and dieting on 1500 calories.

have never cycled, natural. been sleeping 8hrs/day for the past 3 years, eating healthy, no stress at all
i was diagnosed with a prolactin tumor that caused my low test. it was 8 yours is 10. i was 29 when i got diagnosed. my endo never thought about putting me on trt until i switched he just treated the tumor with cabergoline. i am now on trt so i don't even care what my test is, but it could be very well that. how much is your body fat? when did you first noticed low test symptoms?

i think he’s trying to treat his gyno with the adex.

how you have low T but gyno is confusing unless your body is just metabolizing a significant amount of what little test you are creating into e2

I wasn't randomly, I was trying to lower my estrogen a bit to gain testosterone. I was advised and monitored by an IFBB pro.
I went to 1500 cals 4 times in total with no weight loss. the "weight loss" periods would last 2-3 months before I get worn out and stop

yes it confuses me as well. I think since my ratio of test:e2 is wack my body thinks im a girl and made gyno basically. I am like 35% bodyfat so I think it makes sense where my e2 is at

I noticed low T symptoms since I was 17 yrs old. inability to lose weight + gyno + spine pain. im almost 21 yrs old now and everything worsened, and have anxiety, depression, bigger gyno, crap sleep, literally every symptom except low sex drive

I’m not a dr, fitness guru or a professional at all.. but i think with 1500 cals, you also stand to damage your metabolism- and further suppress normal bodily processes like testosterone production.

You might think it’s a good idea to eat so little and burn it up but if your body will just get soft.
How would you say your equality of sleep is?
Are you getting 8 hours? Or are you getting “crap sleep”.
As someone who suffers from insomnia I would say make some concessions as I had to. For me that meant using indica. I went through months of sleep hygiene but it never worked. If you’re staring at your phone or playing consoles till 10 minutes before you’re supposed to be sleeping then set a timer for 30-45 minutes before bed. Read a book or just sit and contemplate your day or go for a 10-15 minute walk- not a jog. Just a boring old walk around the block. Clear your mind.

I’d suggest taking a break from working out for a couple months. Perhaps 2-3 months. Maybe do some LISS 30-60 minute walks a day. Reverse diet (slowly add calories back into your diet) to a TDEE that’s normal for your age/normal weight for someone your height. make them all clean and nutrient dense no pizza, burgers, sugars like granola bars- and stick with things like good fats, chicken thighs over breast etc. Once you’re at the calories you need for your age/height/weight keep them there and start resistance training and cardio again.
Get your bloodwork / hormonal panel done and then go from there and discuss TRT with a doc.

Somethings you’re saying don’t add up and with those pics, I’m not sure what’s really going on here.

You noticed low T at 17? You’re still going through puberty at that age.

Also on a restriction of 1500 calories you might have some metabolic issues but ... you would not be THAT big if you were dieting and training for 9 months. the gyno definitely seems to me like it’s from over eating. Again I’m not a doc but man... you just look fat and like you’re dieting and working out poorly. You DO have low T but you’re also extremely over weight.

and please clear up the sleep thing: you say 8 hours
But you also said it was crap sleep

before this 9 month diet and workout - how was your diet and physical activity like in all honesty???

I worked down to 1500 cals and 30 min cardio/ day over a long time, I didnt just wake up next day and do it. im explaining how I can't lose weight cuz of low T. or else why would I go down to such a low cal when teenagers are supposed to have fast af metabolism according to all youtube vids (I never had fast metabolism my whole life). I know what you are saying about stressing the body and stuff but this shouldn't mean that my test level is at 10 and even if test increases somehow naturally it will be so marginal I will barely notice a difference. I am now eating healthy 2000-2500 cals and maintaining weight. the 1500 cals was many months ago at like June. also it takes me 30 mins just to fall asleep and I wake up 3 times/ night for no reason. and feel tired when i wake up in the morning

how can gyno be from overeating, when im showering my tits expand and look like small boobs. is legit gyno, I can feel it under the nipple. I went down to 1500 cals overtime since regular healthy eating and excersize wasn't losing weight. before all this working out, I was always active, playing soccer for 6hrs/week. or hockey for 8hrs/week. something is off in my metabolism, since I never drink, smoke, or shove cakes down my mouth like many of my friends. my brother just started following my diet and training and he lost 20lbs in a month. I dont think training and diet can be so bad to make a teenager look like me

@Hussein I will mention to you once again the importance of patience. You have your Doc appointment set for this month. Until then there is very little any of us can do to allay your fears of the future and the deal you get from your hormones. You will have a Doc and that is the priority in gaining an understanding of what is going on with you.

Even on low T, people lose SOME weight on a restricted diet. You look at women and they have higher E to T ratio obviously, have low T obviously, have gyno obviously AND STILL can lose more weight naturally. Something you’re saying isn’t adding up. Sure you’re low T... but I suspect you’re lacking on your consistency
