What's your take on high GI carbs upon waking and post work out to gain mass? From what I understand taking advantage of natty insulin ? I suppose you would want fast digesting proteins and low carbs consumed with this as well?

I understand the first two parts of your post and agree/nod

Fast proteins...mostly yes, especially on waking but imo (and according to george farrah) they aren't necessarily required directly postWO unless you're using hydrolized whey

Not sure what you mean about the low carbs though...

Shit, just noticed this is in Pac's thread but now that I've thought about this & typed it I'm leaving it anyways...sry big guy

I mean you want high GI index carb first to get the insulin flowing and if your goal is mass, protein along with a lower GI index carb, example a shake with whey and oats. Or would the slow degestiveness of the oats defeat the purpose of getting the proteins in the blood stream faster, or am I talking out my ass !? Lol
