I don't take Valium for pain but for its muscle relaxant properties. And the dosage is really low.
I can't take anti inflammatories because of my stomach.

My physiotherapist says that my left shoulder muscles are gone and that I have to train them with 1 kg weights (she gave me 5 exercises to do daily).

If your stomach is the issue with antiinflammatories you can get a prescription for a topical to be made with an inflammatory in it. I have one made up with diclofenic in it and it works great. I have to say the diclofenic that goes up your butt makes your whole body feel great except your ass lol. The topical diclofenic doesn't work for all pain though like when my neck keeps on getting strained from TMJ it doesn't help but if I sleep the wrong way and I can't move my neck straight or if I go ouch when I stand up then it helps that pain so much it's like it never happened.

Those exercises that the PT told me to do hurt so bad that I didn't sleep much (despite Tramadol).

I was already wide awake at 2:30am. I didn't want to take another dose of Tramadol and Diazepam so I hopped on the treadmill and did 6,5 kilometers (10% incline).
