My question for this thread would be,

are any of the guys taking creatine on a regular basis, and did you notice any benefits short term or long term from it ?

I've always taken 5-10g Creatine post workout. I take it as I know there are some health benefits to it and it does make me look a little fuller due to the water it brings into the muscle.

I just bought creatine yesterday lol. It was $14 I figured why not. Fun to add in sometimes even though I don’t notice much

I don't notice much either - few pounds but no strength gains. I had no idea it had health benefits until I started reading this morning.

I started taking it 2 years ago with bcaa s
Noticed my dumbell rows jumped 40lbs just in a few weeks.

I doubt creatine would be able to increase your strength by 40 lbs on any exercise in a few weeks. Were you juicing at the same too? If you said you were taking test, anavar and creatine - would make sense. Regardless, that is good but creatine usually doesn't have that kind of affect on strength.

No juice
What ever happened I was stronger?
Maybe muscles woke up after 20 year absence from gym.
Coincidence I guess

It worked for me when I used to take it 🤷🏼‍♂️ Been a while , but scientifically it’s one of the few “proven” to work supplemental *chemicals*

How does it effect BP
I've heard conflicting reports
Increased water retention is a side from creatine isn't it?

I’ve read many studies on creatine increasing cognitive ability as well. Specifically short term memory.
As for the water retention, some forms of creatine seem to have this affect more than others. Monohydrate, the preferred form of creatine for most, seems to not have that affect, especially when taken at the standard 3-5 gram dose/daily. From experience, I only experienced bloating when I loaded the muscles with 20 grams for the first 5 days. After I went to a regular dose, water retention went back to normal.

I do get some annoying nocturnal jaw clenching when I initially load creatine. I know this because a couple of cavities (which are normally benign) flare up.
